Dozens of residents of the town of Zakia flock to the settlement process center inthe southern countryside of Damascus
Damascus countryside, (ST) – A SANA reporter said that dozens of residents of the town of Zakia in the southern countryside of Damascus began arriving at the settlement process center, which the concerned authorities in the town opened for the second day in a row.
Yesterday, the settlement center in the town of Zakia witnessed a notable turnout by citizens who wanted to settle their status and return to normal life.
SANA reporter also said that the competent authorities today settled the conditions of dozens of wanted citizens, fleeing soldiers, and those who have failed the mandatory and reserve services in the center, according to easy and quick procedures, in preparation for their return to their normal lives.
He pointed to the great role played by the amnesty decrees issued by President Bashar Al-Assad in expanding the circle of those covered in the settlement on the one hand and those who want to join it on the other hand.
Mahmoud Tohme, one of the town’s notables, pointed out that the settlements that took place in all the governorates are “a message to the world that the Syrian people are able to solve their problems on their own and that the Syrian state is the main guarantor who grants amnesty out of strength.” He stressed that “without the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army, we would not have felt security and stability.”
Walid Tohme, assistant director of Zakia Secondary School for Boys, stated that “belief among the youth in the credibility of the settlements, they took the initiative yesterday to take advantage of the opportunity to settle their situation, which helped them achieve psychological stability after years of anxiety and chaos”.
A number of those whose statuses have been settled by the ease of procedures and speed of implementation, and the efforts made by the concerned authorities to establish a state of security and stability, called on everyone who has lost the way to take the initiative immediately to settle his situation to practice his normal life in his homeland and within his community.
