569.000 hectares in Hasakah province are planted with wheat and barley

HASAKAH, Jan.30, (ST)-Since the start of last October, 569.000 hectares in Hasakah province have been planted with wheat and barley, according to the Head of the Directorate of Plant Production Jalal Blal. 
 
Blal told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that  103.000 hectares are allocated for irrigated wheat and barley, while  466.000 hectares are allocated for rainfed wheat and barley. 
 
He affirmed that the plan of the agricultural committee to plant wheat and barley in an area of  970.685 hectares was not implemented due to lack of rain during October and N9vember in 2021.
