Syrian Military Public Prosecution: There is no legal justification for the US presence in Syria

DAMASCUS, Jan.27, (ST)- The Syrian Military Public Prosecution stressed in a statement issued on Thursday that it has evidences about the violations perpetrated by the US occupation forces in Syria, pointing out that there is no legal justification for the US presence in Syria under any name except occupation.
 
The statement said: “The U.S neither received approval from the Syrian government to be present  in Syria nor received authorization from the UN Security Council to do that.. It is not in a state of defending itself legally, so it blatantly violates the UN charter according to the UN General Assembly ‘s decision No. 3314 for the year which describes the US behavior towards Syria as military aggression. “ 
 
It added that the US occupation sponsors the separatist plot in north Syria,  provides the “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia  with weapons, trains the militiamen, covers their operations, forces the people who reject the acts of the militia to fight alongside the militia, opens illegal crossing point to transport stolen Syrian oil and wheat and helps the militia establish political entities to replace the Syrian state’ institutions.
 
The statement asserted that the US support for the SDF militia’s project damages   political and civil rights of the majority of Syrians. 
 
It in addition it  affirmed that the situation on the ground proves that there is a connection between the ISIS terrorists and the US occupation, which controls the movement and the acts of this organization from the illegal US base in  Al-Tanf region where the terrorist receive training courses at the hands US military trainers. 
 
The statement indicated that the US occupation backed the ISIS terrorists’ attack on a military bus affiliated to the Syrian army on the 3rd of January as the terrorists moved from Al-Tanf region to carry out the attack. 
 
“The recent events in Hasakah province related to US occupation’s lack of knowledge about  the ISIS terrorist movements in the prison of “Al-Thanaweyeh Al-Senaeyeh” is an implementation of a plan that aims at leaving the region under the mercy of  US occupation for the longest possible time,” the Military Public Prosecution clarified. 
 
It underlined that it documents the violations of the US occupation and the damages and the victims to file charges against the US Administration and to pursue those who have been involved in these violations, whether they are Syrian or foreigners. through national and international judicial references. 
 
“Syrians have the right to defend their homeland and to confront this occupation by all means until the liberation of every inch of the Syrian territories, the statement concluded.  
 
On the 10th of last June, the Military Public Prosecution presented evidence that allows to make substantiated accusations against the US on preparing and carrying out terrorist aggressions in Syria.
