US-backed SDF militia raids neighborhoods and villages in Hasakah and kidnaps civilians

HASAKAH, Jan.26, (ST)-The US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia raided on Wednesday Al-Zohour and Ghwiran neighborhoods and several villages near Hasakah City under the pretext of searching for prisoners escaped from the Prison of “Al-Thanaweyeh Al-Senaeyeh” and kidnapped a number of civilians.

According to local sources in Ghwiran neighborhood, groups affiliated to the SDF militia [It is Arabic acronym is QASAD] raided this morning the western neighborhood of Ghwiran under the pretext of searching for escaped prisons and broke into homes and kidnapped a number of men and young men and took them to an unknown destination.

The sources added that the raid campaigns that were carried out by the US-backed militia expanded towards the villages located on the eastern and southeastern sides of the prison, in addition to a number of villages in the western countryside and kidnapped a number of other citizens.

“The raid campaign was accompanied by tighter searching procedures at the checkpoints of the militia that tried to close the neighborhood and impose a total curfew in the area,” the sources asserted.

Over the past few days, the US occupation forces struck buildings and facilities in the vicinity of the Prison [which was Industrial Secondary School before it was captured by the militia]  under the pretext of pursuing escaped prisoners from the Ghwairan neighborhood in Hasakah City.
