Syria, Belarus discuss cooperation in housing and construction sector

MINSK, Jan.25, (ST)-The Minister of Public Works and Housing Suhail Abdullatif discussed on Tuesday with the Belarusian Minister of  Architecture and Construction  Ruslan Parkhamovich the possible opportunities of cooperation in the sector of housing and reconstruction.
 
During the meeting, Abdullatif spoke about the importance of reaching an agreement with the Belarussian side to boost cooperation in a way that would enable Syria to benefit from the capabilities that Belarus possesses in the field of construction and housing, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
 
The two minister explained the mechanism of work in Syria and Belarus. 
 
Today’s meeting comes one day before the start of the 8th session of the joint Syrian-Belarussian governmental committee for economic cooperation that will be held in Minsk. 
 
Following the meeting, the Syrian delegation visited “BELAZ” factory for the production of Engineering Trucks near Minsk and discussed with the factory’s management ways of exporting trucks to Syria. 
 
BElAZ is a Belarusian automobile plant and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of large and especially large dump trucks, as well as other heavy transport equipment for the mining and construction industries.
