WHO: The world is in a critical stage of the Corona pandemic

Geneva (ST): The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, urged countries in the world to work together to end the critical phase of the Corona pandemic, indicating that they now have all the tools available to do so.

Tedros said during a press conference with the German Development Minister Svenja Schulze today, according to Reuters:  “The Covid-19 pandemic is now entering its third year and we are at a dangerous juncture.”

 Tedros had confirmed earlier that ending the Coronavirus pandemic requires that all countries achieve through joint action until mid-2022 the global goal of vaccinating 70 percent of the world’s population and that governments continue to systematically follow up and provide information about copying the virus without fears of being accused of any charges.
