Five Tunisian terrorists are sentenced to prison

On January 16th, the Tunisian judiciary state imposed prison sentences between one and thirteen years against five women belonging to the terrorist organization (ISIS).

Tunisian media quoted the criminal department specialized in terrorism cases at the Court of First Instance as saying that the five were convicted of recruiting girls and fund raising for the terrorist organization entrenched in the mountains of western Tunisia.

Among the sentences, two sisters were imprisoned for 13 years each, in addition to another woman, who is the sister of a terrorist affiliated with the terrorist organization, imprisoned for one year.

At the end of last October, the Tunisian Ministry of Interior announced the dismantling of a women’s terrorist cell operating between the provinces of El Kef in the northwest of the country and Tozeur in the south.
