3 thousand employees of an American airline infected with Corona

Washington (ST): United Airlines announced the reduction of the number of its flights, pressured by the significant increase in cases of “Covid 19” disease among its employees, which amounted to thousands of cases.

CNBC quoted a company official as saying that American airlines canceled thousands of flights during the end of the year and until early this year due to Corona infection among their crews and a series of winter storms.

The official added that “United” has about 3,000 workers infected with the Coronavirus, which represents about 4 percent of the company’s workforce in the United States, but he refused to reveal the number of flights that the company will cancel.

It is noteworthy that major US airlines canceled hundreds of flights scheduled for Christmas Eve due to the recent rise in cases of the mutant Omicron, and many countries in the world have re-imposed partial or total closures or spatial distancing measures to counter the rapid outbreak of Omicron, which the World Health Organization has classified as worrying and is still much unknown, including the severity of symptoms.
