Fatah official: Our visit to Syria aims to formulate the Palestinian situation in the light of Israeli occupation’s escalation

DAMASCUS, Jan.10, (ST)_The Secretary of the Central Committee of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement “Fatah”  Major General Jibril Rajoub has declared that it is ” shame on the Arabs” that Syria is still out the Arab League.

The remarks of the Major General Rajoub came during a press conference held on Monday at the “Cham” Hotel in Damascus.

He clarified that his visit alongside the accompanying delegation to Damascus will be a real base to formulate the Palestinian situation in the light of the unprecedented Israeli escalation that aims to eliminate the Palestinian cause.

Major General Rajoub indicated that the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will visit Syria soon, saying thank you to the Syrian state and people for their firm stances towards the Palestinian cause despite of the difficult circumstances Syria is going through.

He asserted that Syria treats the Palestinian refugees as Syrian citizens in all fields.

Major General Rajoub pointed out that the current stage is the hardest stage in the history of the Palestinian cause as the Israeli occupation has intensified its attempts to Judaize Palestine and to end the national status in Al-Quds [Jerusalem].

He affirmed the Palestinian leadership’s adherence to firm stances related to the establishment of the Palestinian state and resisting the occupation by all means.
