A protest sit-in by people of Syrian Occupied Golan in rejection of the Zionist entity’s settlement plans

Damascus, (ST) – A number of residents of the occupied Syrian Golan organized a protest sit-in infront of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Damascus on Wednesday in rejection of the practices of the Zionist occupation entity and its new settlement plans in Golan.

During the sit-in, the people of the Golan stressed their right to regain their land and to continue their struggle against the Zionist enemy.

They also stressed their insistence on confronting and resisting the Israeli occupation’s settlement expansion which aims at displacing the people from this area.

The people of the occupied Golan demanded the occupation entity to withdraw immediately and completely and return all occupied lands up to the borders of June 4, 1967. They also appealed to the international community and international legitimacy to take a supportive and right stance towards the Syrian people and to exercise their role on the ground.

The people of the occupied Golan expressed their great confidence in the Syrian Arab army in returning the all occupied Golan land. They stressed that the steadfastness of the people in the Golan since the occupation confirms that the Syrian Arab people do not abandon their land and rights, no matter what the sacrifices.

In turn, Khaled Abaza, Secretary of the party branch in Quneitra, affirmed the adherence of the people of the Golan to the national principles and the preservation of the Arab Syrian identity of the Golan

Syria continuously stresses that the occupied Golan is an integral part of its territory and it is working to liberate it by all available means. Syria also affirms its support for the resistance of the people in Golan against the occupation’s policy of stealing their lands and properties and of building settlements with the aim of changing the Golan’s demographic, geographic and legal status.
