Exhibition of Syrian plastic artists in celebration of AL adiyat Association FestivalAn

On 3 January 2022, an exhibition entitled “Ashtaris the past and present” for a group of Syrian plastic artists was organized by the Minister of Culture Dr. Lubana Mshawahin at Al-Basel Exhibition Hall in Lattakia.The exhibition came within the seventh annual celebration of AL adiyat  Association Festival in cooperation with the Fine Artists Union and the supervision of the Central Exhibitions Office .

23 artists from Damascus, Homs, Hasaka and Lattakia participated in the exhibition of approximately 46 works in different methods, from simplified realistic realism to expressive and abstract according to special technologies.

 

For topics, women were strongly present on the differences of times and their implications, as well as childhood, many human themes, heritage, effects, nature and life ingredients.

Director of the Central Exhibitions Office, artist Hussein Sakour, talked about the exhibition:The

The importance of the exhibition comes from the external participation of the governorate’s artists, and from our selection of the participating names, as I believe that the personal and human traits are the main element in the creative work, and on this basis I communicated with the distinguished participants in their art and humanity.

Plastic artist Bassam Al-Hajali from Damascus said: My participation was in one painting about rock, light, fire and water in an abstract style and I saw in this exhibition an opportunity to communicate with artists and exchange opinions and to convey the creative state of the nation’s artists.
