SARC completes the rehabilitation of the sanitary facilities of 50 schools in Daraa

The branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in Daraa has completed the rehabilitation of the sewage facilities of 50 schools in the province which have been exposed to vandalism due to terrorism.

Head of SARC branch Ahmad Al-Masalmeh told SANA on Tuesday that after two months of relentless efforts, the branch, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross, managed to complete the rehabilitation of the sanitary facilities of 50 schools in Daraa countryside which had gone out of service because of acts of vandalism during the terrorist war.

45,000 students use these facilities, he pointed out.

Al-Masalmeh stressed that rehabilitating the sanitary facilities in schools is no less important than rehabilitating the classrooms, because this will provide comfortable and safe environment for the students, particularly in the light of the spread of Corona pandemic.
