Al- Miqdad: Syria has achieved remarkable victories against terrorism

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, affirmed that Syria has achieved great and remarkable victories in the war against terrorism.

“The terrorist organizations are still present on parts of its lands; thereforeSyria will continue the war against terrorism until its final elimination”, he added.

Minister, Al-Miqdad said in an interview with Al-Souria and Al-Ikhbariya channels that, with the efforts of the Syrian Arab Army, and in cooperation with friends and allies, Syria will eliminate the remaining terrorists to begin rebuilding what terrorism and its supporters destroyed.

Al-Miqdad said that, Turkey occupies parts of the Syrian lands, cuts off water from the Syrian people for weeks and months and protects terrorist groups in violation of the Astana understandings, as part of the Erdogan regime’s attempts to implement its Ottoman colonial plans. He stressed that Syria will liberate these lands, whether Idlib or the northern areas on the Syrian-Turkish border.

Al-Miqdad pointed out that the American occupation forces and the “SDF” militia” continue to steal the wealth and resources of the Syrian people in the Al-Jazeera region, including oil, wheat and cottonHe said that the practices of this separatist militia are rejected and Syria will never accept such  acts.

Al-Miqdad stressed that the Syrian people are the ones who decide the future of their country, not separatist militias linked to an outside power and not caring about  the interests of the Syrian people.

Al-Miqdad said that the SDF” militia detains about 60,000 people in the Al-Howl camp in the Hasakacountryside with American support. It has stolen the aid provided to them.

He added that, most of those in the camps are non-Syrians sent by the enemies of Syria to target its people.

Al-Miqdad pointed out that the United States destroyed Raqqa under the pretext of fighting the terrorist organization “ISIS” and committed war crimes in it and in Deir Ezzor.

Miqdad indicated that the Syrian state continues with national reconciliations with the aim of restoring security and stability to all its lands.

Miqdad said that the coercive economic measures imposed by the United States and Western countries on the Syrian people are illegal and aim to achieve the agendas of these countries. He stressed the need for lifting these measures, which have exacerbated the suffering of the Syrian people as a result of terrorism.

Minister, Miqdad stressed Syria’s rejection of the West’s politicization of the issue of humanitarian aid, which must reach its beneficiaries without discrimination.

Al-Miqdad pointed out that the crimes of the terrorist organizations have displaced the Syrians to the camps and abroad. He added that Syria renews its calling on all its displaced citizens to return to their homeland after providing the necessary facilities and appropriate conditions for that.

Miqdad reiterated Syria’s firm adherence to its right to restore the entire occupied Golan, and this right is not subject to negotiation or concession.

Miqdad pointed out that the aim of the terrorist war waged against Syria and the repeated Israeli attacks on its lands were to prevent it from liberating the Golan.

He said that, the Golan will inevitably return to Syria, and we are confident that we will one day be with our people in the Golan, and we hope that this day will be soon.

With regard to the work of the Constitutional Discussion Committee, Miqdad explained that Syria deals positively with the committee and that its problem is not with the UN envoy or the organization itself, but with those who do not want the good for Syria and its people.

In response to a question about the existence of an openness in Arab relations with Syria, Miqdad said that strengthening joint Arab action should be the priority of Arab countries, so it is natural for these countries to be together to face the real danger that threatens to break them up

He pointed out that what concerns Syria is enhancingits bilateral relations with the Arab countries and these relations are good and will develop in a reasonable manner.

Miqdad affirmed that the steadfastness of the Syrian people and the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army have thwarted the enemies’ plans to change Syria’s policy that supports Arab causes and the just causes of the peoples of the world.

He stressed that, the crisis in Syria will incite more achievements, because the Syrian people are creative and generous and are able to preserve their history and the legacy left to them by their ancestors for the present and the future
