Sousan renews Syria’s position rejecting the politicization of the humanitarian situation by bringing aid across the border

Nur-Sultan (ST):  The head of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic to the 17th international meeting in the Astana format, Dr. Ayman Sousan, Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister stressed that the entry of aid across the border is a violation of Syrian sovereignty and constitutes support for terrorist organizations and that the US and Turkish occupations of some Syrian territories are the main reason for prolonging the crisis.

In an interview on the Russia Today channel tonight, Sousan said that the Syrian state is doing everything possible in cooperation with the Russian friends in order to take all measures to facilitate the return of the displaced and refugees, which is related to the process of reconstruction, rehabilitation of infrastructure and activation of the production process, but unilateral coercive measures are one of the main reasons that hinder their return.

Sousan renewed Syria’s principled position rejecting the politicization of the humanitarian situation by entering aid across the border, as this constitutes a violation of Syrian sovereignty and support for terrorist organizations.

Sousan denied the existence of any contacts with the new American administration, stressing the necessity of the withdrawal of the American occupation forces from the Syrian territories.

Sousan indicated that the terrorist organization “ISIS” is active in the area of presence of the American occupation forces in the Syrian desert, as it is working to revive this terrorist organization with the aim of impeding the consolidation of security and stability in Syria.

Sousan pointed out that the US and Turkish occupations of some Syrian lands are the main reason for prolonging the crisis.
