On December 18th, the Armenian Orthodox Metropolitan in Syria Archbishop Masis Zobian said that Syria was and will remain the homeland in which we live a dignified life filled with prosperity and tranquility after the Armenian massacres.

During a visit to the Governorate of Al-Hasakah, Archbishop Zobaian indicated that Al-Hasakah will defeat terrorism just as Aleppo did.
For his part, the Governor of Hasaka, Ghassan Khalil, explained that this pastoral visit of the Archbishop indicates national cohesion and civil peace.
Khalil said that Syria was a safe haven for all sects and embraced all those who were displaced by the Ottoman occupation.
