Arnous inaugurates and launches several services and development projects in Hama

Prime Minister Hussein Arnous and a number of ministers on Saturday visited Hama province to inspect the work process in a number of vital services and development projects and to inaugurate new ones.

At the beginning of his tour in Hama, Arnous laid the foundation stone of “Al-Amal Housing District” project in Al-Naqarna area on the Hama-Aleppo highway. The project is to be built on an area of 104 hectares with a cost of 7.6 billion Syrian pounds (SYP).

 The premier also laid the foundation stone of the project of Hama university new site near Damascus-Aleppo Highway. The estimated cost of this project is 12.9 billion SYP.

Arnous also inaugurated the charitable hospital project of the Social Care Charity in Hama with an estimated cost of 6.5 billion SYP.

The hospital will provide services to martyrs’ families, to the wounded, to patients and to poor families, according to Hama Governor Mohammad Tarek Kreishati.

Moreover, the prime minister launched work in the renewal energy project in Qamhana area near Zein Al-Abideen Mountain on an area of 9 dunums.

The project will produce 1.7 million KWH annually to supply the factories, industrial facilities and houses in this area with electricity.

The estimated cost of this project is 3 billion SYP including the affiliated lands, fence and services buildings, said director of the project Baraa Sha’eera.

In a statement to journalists, the prime minister said that the government gives priority to Hama university related projects due to their importance and positive impacts at the academic, economic and social levels.

He stressed that the government is pressing ahead with taking all measures which are necessary for improving the living conditions of citizens, particularly the state employees and limited-income people.

Arnous pointed out that the situation of electricity in Syria will witness notable improvement during the second half of 2022, particularly after the rehabilitation and implementation of a number of projects to generate electricity.
