250 industrialists in the first forum of chemical industries in Aleppo

Aleppo (ST): The interventions of the members of the first forum for the chemical industries, which was held with the participation of about 250 chemical industrialists at the Sheraton Aleppo Hotel, focused on the demand for an increase in the volume of electric power allocated to the industrial sector and the exemption of the affected facilities from fees and taxes during their stoppage and scheduling debts of industrialists.

 They also demanded the need to simplify the procedures for issuing import licenses, amend the mechanism for granting environmental approvals for import and customs clearance operations, renew chemical specifications to keep pace with global development, monitor the Aleppo laurel soap industry, implement property protection, provide raw materials used in the glass industry, and automate and reform the tax legislation law.

Ziad Sabbagh, Minister of Industry, spoke about the severe damage to the infrastructure of the industrial sector in Aleppo as a result of terrorism and the government’s efforts to recycle the wheel of production by achieving joint cooperation between the public and private sectors to build and reconstruct what was destroyed by the terrorist war, calling for a scientific approach to develop the damaged facilities and production.
