Palestine records the first three cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, DEC.16, (ST)-The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday the discovery of the first three cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 in Palestine.
 
Health Ministry spokesman Kamal al-Shakhra said the three cases were discovered in Bethlehem, Hebron and Tubas in the West Bank in passengers coming from abroad without specifying which countries they came from.
 
He said Ministry staff from the preventive medicine are trying to contact people who came in contact with the infected cases to conduct the necessary tests for them, according to WAFA. 
 
Since the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, the number of infections hit 465829, of which 4858 died and 456978 recovered.
