20 detainees released within the framework of the settlement agreement in Daraa

Within the framework of the settlement agreement proposed by the Syrian state to restore security and stability in Daraa province, 20 detainees, who have not been involved in shedding the blood of the Syrian people, were released.

Earlier this month, 21 other detainees were also released within the framework of the same agreement.

Daraa Governor Louay Kharita said in a statement that all citizens have to shoulder the responsibility of consolidating stability and achieving development and complete recovery in the province, noting the importance of providing support for the released persons to help them be active and effective in society.

Hussein Al-Rifa’i, Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party branch in Daraa, affirmed that all should do their duty in maintaining security and stability and in confronting sedition through launching reconciliation initiatives in different parts of the province.

Some of the dignitaries in Draaa expressed their satisfaction over the settlement agreement which led to the release of many detainees who were misled but haven’t been involved in shedding the Syrians’ blood.

Families of the some released persons expressed their happiness over the return of their sons who, on their part, vowed not to get involved again in any kind of activities that harm the homeland.
