People’s Assembly demands to improve the living conditions of citizens and increase salaries

Damascus (ST):  The People’s Assembly held its twenty-seventh session of the fourth regular session of the third legislative session, headed by Hammouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Assembly.

The Minister of State for People’s Assembly Affairs, Abdullah Abdullah, gave a presentation on all decisions and topics approved and discussed by the cabinet in its last session related to service and living issues.

In their interventions, a number of MPs demanded an improvement in the living conditions of citizens and an increase in the level of salaries and wages by 300 percent to reduce the gap between income and spending, especially after the issuance of decisions to raise the prices of gasoline, domestic gas and diesel its raw materials and supplies, and the suspension of a number of drug laboratories.

 

Some members stressed the necessity of accelerating the pace of the displaced return to their villages and liberated areas after rehabilitating them, restoring the infrastructure in them, and securing all services for them.
