French intellectuals: The Syrians’ steadfastness will soon result in ending all the sanctions imposed on their country

A group of French writers, intellectuals, journalists and bloggers, who are currently visiting Syria, have affirmed that the Syrian people, army and leadership have proved to the entire world that Syria is an example to follow in terms of steadfastness and struggle against the forces of imperialism and colonialism, reiterating that Syria’s victory over terrorism doesn’t belong to the Syrians only but to all freedom-loving peoples.

Emmanuel Leroy, a regional and international adviser, said that he held several meetings in France to expose the US imperialist hegemony schemes in the region and uncover the lies, hypocrisy and misinformation practiced by aggressors on Syria.

He stressed that Syria achieved victory in its war on terrorism thanks to the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Syrian people and that today, Syria is resisting an unfair economic siege that aims at weakening and undermining it. However, he reiterated that the Syrians’ steadfastness will soon result in the end of all the sanctions imposed on their country.

Leroy went on to say that an enlarged meeting will be held in France within the coming months to call for immediately lifting the siege imposed on the Syrian people.

Retired General “Yves Perrault”, on his part, said that he came to Syria to see by himself what is really happening on the ground, away from the misinformation practiced by anti-Syria forces, so that he can convey the truth to the French people, pointing out the Europeans are victims of misinformation campaigns.

Researcher and journalist “Jean-Michel Vernochet” said that the French delegation visiting Syria represents real France, not the French government which has caused great harm to Syria.  He expressed hope that this visit will signal the beginning of real cooperation between the French and Syrian peoples, indicating that members of the delegation will spare no effort to expose the truth about Syria and contribute to breaking the siege imposed on the country.

Writer, researcher and journalist Alain-Pierre Tizio said that understanding what is going on in Syria is an urgent need to every international thinker, because Syria has changed the world’s system from a unipolar to a multipolar one and its victory doesn’t only belong to the Syrians, but to all freedom loving peoples, as this victory’s results will appear in the future and will serve the peoples of both the Middle East and Europe.

On his part, Professor of Geography Pierre Emmanuel Toman hoped that Syria will restore its brightness, clarifying that Syria’s victory and the Syrian people’s steadfastness are an example to follow in the future by all freedom-loving peoples.

Anti-Zionism activist and film producer Marie Baumeier emphasized the importance of documenting the Syrians’ steadfastness and victory in books, a work she has already started.

“Today, the West is experiencing a state of spiritual bankruptcy, because imperialism has killed the positive spirit inside it,” she clarified.

In the same context, the Syrian writer and traveler Adnan Azzam asserted the importance of communication and cooperation with the intellectuals, thinkers and opinion leaders in the European communities in order to break the multi-sided siege imposed on Syria.

Head of the Arab Writers Union in Syria Mohammad Al-Hourani affirmed the importance of the French delegation’s visit in contributing to lifting the unfair siege through reactivating popular diplomacy which is growing notably in the European and western countries whose governments have taken part in the war and the economic blockade on Syria.
