370 European Parliamentarians Call for an End to The Racism of The Israeli Occupation

In a joint letter addressed to the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell, 370 European parliamentarians called for an end to the apartheid practiced by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.

In their letter, the European parliamentarians expressed their deep concern over the current situation in occupied Palestine in light of the occupation measures, stressing the need to secure unimpeded humanitarian access in accordance with the rules of international law.

The parliamentarians pointed out that the occupation practices lead to a discriminatory reality against the Palestinians and deprive them of their rights, referring to the Human Rights Watch report, which confirms that the legal definition of the crime of apartheid applies to these practices.

The parliamentarians referred to the violations of the occupation related to the large-scale forced displacement of Palestinians throughout the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, especially the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah and the town of Silwan.

This week, the occupation announced the completion of a 65-kilometer long concrete wall, 6 to 10 meters high, and 25 meters deep, around the Gaza Strip, which has been under Israeli besiege for more than 15 years, turning the Strip into the largest prison in the world.
