Moscow: The West adopts unilateral sanctions against any country that pursues a sovereign policy
Moscow (ST): Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin stressed that the West is adopting unilateral restrictions and sanctions as a method for dealing with any country that pursues a sovereign policy independent of it.
In a statement carried by Russia Today, the Russian deputy minister said, “The impression is emerging that the West has lost the culture of political dialogue. The Western partners have forgotten how to solve problems in a civilized manner at the negotiating table, and often unilateral restrictions and sanctions have become the answer to any decision that does not conform to their logic.”
Pankin pointed out that any country that pursues a sovereign policy independent of the West cannot be immune to these restrictions.
Pankin’s comments come in light of a fierce Western media campaign against Russia, on the backdrop of allegations of a mobilization of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine, and attempts to exploit these allegations to impose more pressure and sanctions on Moscow.
