Occupation forces prevent completing the restoration of Al-Ibrahimi Mosque

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Israeli occupation forces prevented the Hebron Reconstruction Committee from completing the restoration and maintenance work in the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The Director of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Hefzy Abu Sneineh, told Wafa News Agency that the occupation forces prevented the Reconstruction Committee employees from completing the restoration work. He pointed out that these aggressive practices come within the framework of the attempts of the occupation and its settlers to Judaize and seize the Haram.

In turn, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Ahmed Al-Tamimi, affirmed that the occupation forces and their settlers continue their aggressive practices in the Ibrahimi Mosque and its surroundings in the Old City on a daily basis with the aim of Judaizing it, ignoring all international resolutions in light of blatant international silence.

Al-Tamimi called on the United Nations to hold its responsibility and put pressure on the occupation authorities to stop their Judaization measures and attempts to deliberately sabotage the Palestinian cultural heritage.

In flagrant violation of human rights charters and all the laws that stipulate not violating the sanctity of holy places, the occupation forces and settlers escalate their attacks on holy sites in the Palestinian territories.
