Study to Boost Economic Ties with Latin American States

 DAMASCUS, (ST)- Prospects of enhancing economic cooperation with Latin America states and ways of eliminating obstacles facing the development of economic and commercial ties between Syria and Latin America were the focus of a meeting dedicated to discuss a study on Syria’s Economic and Trade relations with the states of Latin America.

The study was presented by the Arab and International Department at the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade.

Representatives from the Union of the Syrian Chambers of Agriculture, Damascus Commerce Chamber, the Syrian Investment Agency, Exports Development and Promotion Agency, the General Establishments of Free Zones and the General Establishment of Foreign Trade took part in the meeting. 

Deputy Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Hayyan Suleiman affirmed the importance of the meeting as it enhances cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and other ministries, private economic parties and concerned bodies, on implementing the ministry’s plan to study the markets in other countries and the possibility to attain trade agreements.
