17 Syrian teams to the regional final of the university programming competition in the Arab world and Africa

Cairo (ST): Syria will participate in the regional final of the university programming competition in the Arab world and Africa for the year 2021, which is organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Luxor, Egypt next Saturday and Sunday.

Engineer Saeed Serihini, the coordinator of the programming competition at Damascus University, said in a statement that the 17 Syrian teams participating in the competition arrived at Cairo airport and will head to Luxor, the headquarters of the competition.

Serihini pointed out that the competition includes two rounds within the Academy’s headquarters in Luxor, the first experimental on Saturday and the second regular on Sunday, lasting five continuous hours and including high-level programming issues, indicating that the competition is a way to gather a group of university students, programmers, trainers and academics working in the field of informatics in one place to promote creativity and teamwork, encourage building new software, and enable students to test their abilities and performance under pressure.
