Disbursing more than 5 billion pounds of compensation for the second batch of fire victims in Lattakia
On November 28th, the Directorate of Agriculture in Lattakia disbursed 5.255 billion Syrian pounds in compensation for the second batch of farmers affected by the fires that occurred on the 9th and 10th of October last year.
The Director of Agriculture, Engineer BasemDoba, said that the number of beneficiaries who have received their compensation so far has reached 16,465 farmers distributed over 111 villages in different regions of the governorate.
Doba pointed out that the Directorate is completing the disbursement of compensation for the second batch, amounting to about 6,405 billion Syrian pounds, at the end of this week.
Doba explained that the value of the compensation for the second batch is equivalent to 25 percent of the total compensation, as 50 percent of it was disbursed last year, and the rest of the compensation will be disbursed next year.
