Patriarch John X Yaziji: Syria’ participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is in itself a challenge to terrorism

DUBAI, Nov 25, (ST)-Patriarch John X Yaziji of Antioch and All the East for Rome orthodox and an accompanying delegation visited on Thursday the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
 
The patriarch and members of the delegation toured sections of the pavilion and inspected the exhibits including an original copy of Ugarit alphabet, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
 
He expressed admiration over the exhibition entitled “ I am Syrian”  as it shows that syrians will build a bright future for Syria and the world. 
 
“The Syrian participation in this international exhibition is in itself a challenge to death, corruptiin and terrorism,” the patriarch told reporters. 
 
He went on to say: “What we have seen here in the pavilion of historic exhibits and ancient books prove that this country and land is the source and spring of culture, science and civilization.”
 
It is worth mentioning that 192 countries are taking part in the Expo 2020 Dubai, which will last for 6 months.
