Bogdanov and Pedersen: The solution to the crisis in Syria is based on Resolution 2254

On November 24th, the Special Representative of the Russian President for Middle East and African Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Syria Geir Pedersen stressed the importance of proceeding with the process of resolving the crisis in Syria on the basis of Security Council Resolution No. 2254.

“The two sides discussed, in a phone call, moving forward with resolving the crisis in Syria on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2254, and at the same time special attention was paid to the work of the Constitutional Discussion Committee in Geneva,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement.

“During the phone call, a discussion was held for the seventeenth international meeting on Syria in the Astana format in Nur-Sultan next December,” the statement added.
