People of Quneitra cling to choice of resistance to liberate the occupied Syrian Golan

Quneitra, (ST) – The residents of Quneitra Governorate and the occupied Syrian Golan held a memorial ceremony on the occasion of the passage of forty days of the martyrdom of the liberated prisoner, MedhatAl-Saleh, who was assassinated by the Israeli occupation forces in front of his house in the liberated Ain Al-Tineh site opposite the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The participants in the memorial of the martyr, which was held at the Ain al-Tineh site, affirmed the continuation of the path of pride, dignity, heroism and their adherence to resistance until the liberation of our entire occupied land.

The participants stressed that the Golan will remain Arab and Syrian despite all the Judaizing measures that the Israeli occupation authorities have tried to impose by force.

 In his speech, the Governor of Quneitra Abdel Halim Khalil praised the life of the freed captive martyr Medhat Al-Saleh.He was a fighter from his childhood when he participated in what is known as the secret resistance of the people of the occupied Golan.

He pointed out that the martyr was a national symbol. He carried in his heart and mind the love of the homeland.

On the other hand, the people of the occupied Syrian Golan and delegations from occupied Palestine gathered in the occupied town of Majdal Shams to participate in the funeral of the martyr and expressed their pride in the heroic prisoners who refused to surrender to the practices of the Zionist enemy.

The Dean of the Syrian prisoners, Sidqi Al-Maqt, affirmed his confidence in the liberation the Golan and its return to Syrian national sovereignty.

In a statement to SANA reporter in Quneitra, Hadiya Abu Zaid, wife of the martyr Medhat Al-Saleh, stressed that the martyr was and will remain a torch to guide the people of the Golan to liberate their land.
