Shaaban: Foundation of regional power necessitates cooperation between Arab countries

MUSCAT, Nov 23, (ST)-The Presidential political and media advisor and the Chairperson of the “Wathiqat Wattan” Organization’s Board of Trustees Bouthaina Shaaban has declared that Syria achieved victory over the terror war, which was imposed on it, thanks to the wisdom of President Bashar Al-Assad and the sacrifices of the Syrian army and people. 

 

Her remarks came during a lecture she gave at the Diplomatic Institute of the Omani Foreign Ministry. 

 

Shabban briefed the attendees on the causes of the terror war that was imposed on Syria for 10 years, saying that the war targeted Syria’s independent decision, economic wealth and national identity. 

 

“Arab countries can not form a regional power without Arab cooperation and integration that serves Arab interests,” she said, asserting the need to establish right relations in all fields for confronting the western thinking. 

 

Shaaban referred to the wise and balanced policy of Oman towards all Arab countries and its suggestions to resolve Arab causes. 

 

For her part, the chairperson of the diplomatic institute Zainab Al-Qasemeyeh thanked Shaaban for her lecture and her kind words on Oman. 

 

Shabban toured the Omani National Museum and held talks with Omani intellectuals and reporters on the situation in Syria.
