Iran: Syria has an important role in the region

On November 22nd, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib, stressed the importance of a Syrian role in the region. 

“Syria is one of the important players that cannot be marginalized in the Arab world, including regional organizations and organizations related to Arab states such as the the Arab League ,” said Khatib Zadeh. 

 

On the negotiations on the next nuclear agreement with the group of four plus one in Vienna, Khatib Zada said that those negotiations should focus on cancelling the unjust sanctions on the Iranian people.

In response to the statements made by some European countries ahead of the start of nuclear negotiations, Khatib said that some States had communicated false news in their media outlets during the days near the start of the Vienna talks. 

Nuclear talks between Iran and the group of four  plus one in Vienna is scheduled on November 29th.
