The story collection “One – Day Leave” documents the crimes of terrorists in Syria

The Arab Writers Union recently issued a new collection of short stories, entitled “One-Day Vacation” by the writer Issa Ismail. The collection’s stories document the Takfiri terrorist war on Syria. Some of these stories are real that the writer has lived through or heard about and so he wrote them in an amazing and impressive narrative style.

Through the stories of his collection, Ismail exposes terrorism that ruined his beautiful country (Syria). He also highlights the great sacrifices and the legendary steadfastness of the brave Syrian people, their determination to pursue Takfiri terrorist gangs until the liberation of the entire Syrian regions and achieving the great victory.

The “one – day Vacation,” one of the collection’s stories tells us about a soldier who, along with his comrades, confronts armed terrorist groups in the Douma region. He sends a message to his sister telling her that he will come on vacation for only one day. She started to prepare the food that her brother loves. At the appointed time, the door is knocked, she opens the door happily, but unfortunately, it was not her brother, it was his companion who said to her: “The hero will come on time for lunch; the hero martyr will come very soon.”

The story of “Aisha and the Prince,” takes place in  old Homs that was held in the grip of terrorism for two years, before it was defeated by our valiant army. The writer in this story denounces the infidelity, villainy, and the crimes committed by the terrorists who betrayed their people and their country.

The story of “The Last Embrace” tells about the great martyr officer who excelled in his specialty, but the traitorous agents blew up his car with an explosive device, and his only son was martyred with him.

The story of (Daffodil) raises the question, which is what do the terrorists gain from all these violations they commit? What do they want to say when they kill a woman over the age of ninety with the bullets of a professional sniper! It is nothing but spreading terror and displacing  safe and harmless  people from their homes.

The short story collection “One Day Leave” confirms that Syria is the heart of the world, so why do they want to kill this heart…! It was Syria that gave humanity the first alphabet and the first musical scale. Why should it be rewarded with death and destruction?
