The General Union of Arab Producers always supports Syria, its people and army

Damascus, (ST) – The General Union of Arab Producers, headed by Dr. Ibrahim Abu Zekry, affirmed that the Union always supports Syria, its people and its army in order to overcome the current ordeal and victory over the conspiracy to divide it and displace its people.

In a statement, the Union said that it had previously issued a public decision not to go along with the boycott that was imposed on the Syrian state immediately after the Arab League decided to freeze Syria’s membership in it.

The union said that “with all its members and cadres in eighteen Arab countries, they receive Syrian delegations with official representation without interruption, even in light of the years of crisis and war that passed through Syria.

“The participation of the Syrian producer, artist, and media professionals has also not stopped with the participation, initiatives and activities of Syrian artworks and in the official competitions of all festivals that are sponsored by the Union, and distinguished Syrian works won prizes, some of which went to the Syrian Ministry of Information and its affiliated Syrian institutions”, the Union added

The statement concluded by saying that, the General Union of Arab Producers is a technical entity that works in the service of Arab art and the Arab public and has nothing to do with politics, and it is wrong to include its name in this regard”.

The Union has basic principles in dealing with Syria and what it wants is to ensure the unity of its lands and the safety of its people”, it added.
