Small business products in “Colors of Syria” Bazaar

The Charity Bazaar “Colors of Syria” attracted a number of owners of small and micro enterprises from Damascus, Aleppo and Lattakia, who displayed their traditional handicrafts and various types of industries, foodstuffs, cosmetics and decorations.

The profits of the bazaar ,which was opened on Saturday in the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus, will go to support the (Societe) Café project, which was launched by Jothoor Association for Development and provides job opportunities for a number of adolescents and youth with Down syndrome.

Member of the association’s board of directors, Rana Tabaa, noted that the bazaar is an opportunity for the participation of 120 young owners of small projects that need support in terms of securing presentation and marketing platforms. She expressed her hope to increase the number of participants from other governorates in the future.

A number of participants in the bazaar found an opportunity to display their work and a new experience to communicate directly with a large number of customers, market their products and exchange experiences. They considered that bazaars and exhibitions are an advertising opportunity and a place to be briefed on the visitors’ opinion directly.

A number of visitors drew attention to the quality of the products and their keeping up with the developments of the times while preserving the spirit and authenticity of heritage, stressing the need to support small projects and encourage young people to continue with them due to the suitable job opportunities they provide.
