Several fires extinguished in the countryside of Jableh and Qerdaha

Lattakia (ST):  Firefighting cadres in Lattakia governorate put out several fires that broke out today in separate areas in the Jableh and Qerdaha countryside in Lattakia governorate.

Engineer Muhammad Saftli, head of the Jableh Forestry Division, said in a statement that the members of the firefighting unit, the forestry division in Jableh, and the Forest Protection Center in Zama, in cooperation with the Civil Defense and the Lattakia Fire Brigade, put out three fires in the villages of Zama and Al-Qalaa’a and Beit Rehan Dam, explaining that all of them broke out in lands planted with olive trees.

Saftli indicated that fires were also put out in the villages of Al-Mushrifa, Ain Al-Hayat, Al-Matrikiya and Hmeimim, all of which destroyed areas of agricultural land, reeds and herbs.
