SDF militia kidnaps several young men in Hasakah countryside to recruit them within its ranks

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia on Saturday kidnapped a number of young men in Al-Shaddadi area, Hasakah southern countryside, to recruit them within its ranks.

Local sources told SANA that a group of SDF militants stormed into several houses in the neighborhoods of Al-Shaddadi city, established checkpoints inside the city and at its entrances and kidnapped scores of young people. The militants took the young men to training camps in order to prepare them for fighting alongside the SDF militia.

The SDF militia’s daily raids in the countryside of Hasakah and Deir Ezzor and the kidnapping of young men coincide with repeated attacks targeting SDF leaders and militants. These raids also come amid the locals’ growing anger over the SDF militia’s crimes and their calls for the withdrawal of the US occupation from this region.
