Aleppo (ST): The performances of the third Youth Monodrama Festival concluded with the last show “A Funny Man’s Dream” based on a novel by Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky and directed by Houssam El Din Kharboutli, on the stage of the National Book House in Aleppo.
Muhammad Hejazi, director of the National Book House, said in a statement to news reporter that the director of the work was able to cut a section from the Russian author’s novel and prepare it as a beautiful play that won the approval of the audience, who applauded warmly, emphasizing the beauty and importance of the show.
He added that work is underway to provide everything useful and beautiful to upgrade the theater in the city.
The director of the work indicated that his idea is about a man who punishes a little girl and regrets it, then decides to commit suicide, dreaming that he moved to a second land free of any pollution or any sin and somehow sows sin in the second land.
