Syrian-Cuban talks to enhance cooperation in the health and pharmaceutical industries

Havana (ST): The Syrian Ambassador to Cuba, Dr. Idris Mayya, discussed with Dr. Vicente Ferez-Bincomo, Director of the Finlay Institute for the Vaccine Industry in Cuba, the strengthening of the two countries’ relations in the health and pharmaceutical sectors.

 

During the meeting, which was held at the institute’s headquarters in Havana, Mayya praised the achievements made by Cuba in reaching the production of anti-Coronavirus vaccines, referring to the importance the Syrian government attaches to strengthening relations with Cuba.

For his part, Dr. Bencomo presented the remarkable progress made by the Cuban pharmaceutical industry, especially in the production of anti-Coronavirus vaccines, stressing the need to benefit from the experiences of the two countries in this field.
