Syria, Cuba to enhance parliamentary relations

Damascus, (ST) – The members in the office of the Syrian-Cuban Friendship committee at the people’s Assembly and Ambassador of Republic of Cuba in Damascus, Miguel Porto Barga discussed on Wednesday the means  of  enhancing   and developing  parliamentary relations between the two friendly countries.

 During the meeting, the head and members of the Committee affirmed the depth of the Syrian-Cuban relations and that the two countries are partners in the struggle against the forces of imperialism and aggression which aim to impose their hegemony and confiscate the independent decision of the two countries.

They called for the development of bilateral relations between Syria and Cuba in all fields and the intensification of mutual visits and scientific missions

For his part, the Ambassador, Porto Parga stressed his country’s continuous support to Syria in the face of western measures.

He called for further development of bilateral relations at all levels and continuous coordination in international forums to defend the issues of the two friendly countries and to continue the struggle in confronting global imperialism.
