The Syrian Arab Army has been an example to follow in the struggle and sacrifice for the sake of preserving Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Within the activities of the book fair currently held at Al-Assad National library, the Arab Writers Union issued the book “Esteemed Stories” which documented the heroism and sacrifices of the heroes of the Syrian army and people during the terrorist war on Syria.
The first part of the book, which was published in cooperation with the Levant Land Foundation, included a documentation of the army’s great sacrifices , the wounded personnel and the kidnapped in the face of terrorism.
Head of the Arab Writers Union, Muhammad al-Hourani, said in a statement to SANA that this book is characterized by documenting real stories and the reader can only live their details.
“It is less than the duty towards their sacrifices, and if we are proud of publishing this book, it is because its value is one of the great values which the stories of the valiant Syrian Arab Army embodied” Al-Hourani stressed.
The supervisor of the book’s preparation, the writer Nasr Mohsen said that what we witnessed through the legendary heroism of the Syrian Arab Army soldiers, it was natural for us to share this victory with them with the free word that expresses our pride in an army that gave a lesson to the world how to defend homelands.
Mohsen pointed out that the real stories in the book are a literary documentation that monitors what happened with some realistic stories of the Syrian Arab Army heroes including the wounded soldiers, the martyrs’ families and civilians who were exposed to the crimes of terrorists.
The poet Intisar Suleiman, a member of the book preparation committee stressed in a statement that” as long as we carry a pen, we must use it to record and glorify the sacrifices and victories of the heroes of the army and the blood of the martyrs that irrigated the soil of the country to preserve its dignity”.
In turn, the writer NabougAsaad, another member of the preparation committee believed that “what we documented in all cases is a message to our children and grandchildren to preserve their homeland, their honor and their loyalty “ .
Mustafa Omar, the supervisor of the library of Imam Hussein Mashhad, pointed out that they contributed to printing the book, because it documented the sacrifices of the martyrs and the wounded soldiers so that it remains a light and a memory for future generations in order to continue confronting ignorance and atonement.
