Iraqi forces launch a large-scale security operation in Diyala province

Baghdad (ST): The Iraqi forces announced today that they have started a large-scale security operation to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorists in the Hamrin Mountains in Diyala Governorate, eastern Iraq.

The Diyala Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization said in a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency, that the brigades of the Popular Mobilization launched today a wide and five-axis operation to pursue ISIS terrorists in the Hamrin mountain range, northeast of Al-Azim district, in the Khalis district, noting that the operation was based on intelligence information and accurate follow-up of the movements of terrorists after the massacre of Al-Rashad district in Al-Muqdadiya district.

The statement indicated that the operation is being carried out with the support of the army and drones of the Popular Mobilization.
