OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)_Dozens of Palestinians in Tubas city in the West Bank participated on Tuesday in a solidarity stand with the Palestinian prisoners held in the Israeli jails, calling on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the Israeli occupation authorities’ practices against Palestinian prisoners.
According to WAFA news agency, the participants in the stand gathered outside the doors of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) upon a call from the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and Palestinian Club.
They asserted the importance of the continuity of expressing solidarity with prisoners, especially the sick and hunger striking ones.
There are 5000 prisoners in the occupation jails. Some 550 of these prisoners need urgent treatment.
