Bogdanov and Pedersen discuss by phone ways to solve the crisis in Syria

On November 1st, the Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with the UN Secretary-General’s envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen, during a phone call, ways to a comprehensive solution to the crisis in Syria.

The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the phone talks focused on the results of the sixth round of the Constitutional Discussion Committee, which took place in Geneva recently.

The Russian statement indicated that the importance of the constructive Syrian-Syrian dialogue to resolve the crisis was emphasized.

Dr. Ahmed al-Kuzbari, head of the national delegation to the meetings of the Constitution Discussion Committee in Geneva, confirmed in a press statement at the end of the sixth round that the delegation presented principles  that reflect the aspirations and concerns of the Syrian people, and came with a sincere desire and positive spirit to do everything possible for the success of this round.
