Armenian Archbishop of Tehran: We stand by Syria and are confident of its victory

On October 31st, The Armenian Archbishop of Tehran, Siboh Sarkissian, reiterated his support for Syria in its war against terrorism.

During his meeting with Syria’s ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Diop at the embassy headquarters in Tehran, Sarkissian said:

“We stand by Syria’s leadership and people in the face of the terrorist war it is facing, and we are confident of its victory over all conspiracies targeting it and undermining its sovereignty and independence.”

Sarkissian added: “Syria is a country of civilizations, history, heritage, social diversity, love and coexistence among all its residents.”

In turn, Ambassador Diop said that all attempts to target Syria’s unity and its social and religious fabric have always failed because of the Syrians’ keenness and love for their country and their sacrifice in defense of its unity, sovereignty and dignity.

Ambassador Diop said that the solidarity of the Syrian people thwarted the conspiracy that targeted their country and thwarted the unjust terrorist war that has been going on for years.
