Palestinian hunger striking prisoners are in a life-threatening condition: Prisoners’ Commission
Seven Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails continue with their open-ended hunger strike amid concerns over their life given their deteriorating health condition.
The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Commission said in a statement on Saturday that the hunger striking prisoners are Kayed Al-Fasfous, who has been on hunger strike for 108 days, Miqdad Al-Qawasmeh, 101 days, Alaa Al-Araj, 83 days, Hisham Abu Hawwash, 74 days, Shadi Abu Aker, 67 days, Eyad Al-Hreimi, 38 days, Rateb Hreibat, 22 days and Loui Al-Ashqar, 20.
According to the commission, two of these prisoners – Kayed Al-Fasfous and Miqdad Al-Qawasmeh- are in a life-threatening health condition, as they suffer from problems in the heart, lungs, kidneys and liver, which affects their ability to move, speak and see.
The commission has repeatedly warned that any one of these hunger striking prisoners may martyred at any moment in the light of the occupation’s continuous arbitrary measures against them.
