Syrian air defenses confront Israeli missile attack targeting Damascus countryside

Air defenses of the Syrian Arab Army on Saturday intercepted Israeli missiles fired from the direction of the occupied Palestinian territories targeting Damascus countryside

A military source said in a statement that at around 11:17 a.m., the Israeli enemy fired surface-to-surface missiles from the north of occupied Palestine targeting military points in Damascus countryside.

“Our air defenses confronted the missiles and downed some of them”, the sources added.

Two soldiers were injured in the Israeli aggression which also caused material damage in the targeted areas, the source pointed out.

Earlier, SANA reporter said that sounds of explosions were heard in the vicinity of Damascus.
