Solutions Journalism workshop

The Ministry of Information and the Syrian Virtual University (SVU) held a 3-day workshop titled “Solutions Journalism”. It started in Damascus on Monday.

The workshop aims at giving priority to the media of solutions rather than only discussing the problems in order to enhance cooperation between the society and the media.

The workshop focuses on the media’s effective role in finding logical and clear solutions to the problems not only highlighting and reporting them.

The workshop is held amid challenges imposed by the digital revolution and the control of some major digital sites, such as facebook, google and Youtube on the media scene.
