Government team: Opening all health centers to provide the Corona vaccine

 During its meeting on October 23rd, headed by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, the government team concerned with measures to address the Coronavirus discussed developments in the spread of the virus and the readiness of the health system to deal with infections.

 

The government team requested that public authorities adhere to decisions and procedures related to limiting the spread of the virus and securing cloth masks for workers and sterilization supplies, especially when using the fingerprint device.

The government team approved the plan of the Ministry of Health in terms of expanding the health centers that provide the vaccination service against the virus by opening all medical centers in the governorates to provide this service and using mobile teams for this purpose as well, in addition to allocating mobile teams to visit ministries and public authorities to give the vaccine to those who wish among the workers.

The government team stressed the importance of employees in hotels and restaurants, and the teaching and administrative staff in the Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research to receive the vaccine.

Prime Minister  Engineer Arnous stressed the need to take more effective steps to ensure compliance with the decisions and circulars issued regarding preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus, especially at this stage that is witnessing an increase in infection rates and the importance of raising awareness among citizens to adhere to the precautionary measures and encourage them to take the vaccine.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghubash, indicated that work is currently underway according to Plan B, within almost the full capacity, with the necessary arrangements and preparations to move to Plan C in terms of expanding the number of beds in hospitals to the maximum extent and benefiting from the beds in specialized hospitals in all governorates.

The government team asked the Ministry of Health to coordinate with the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Information to hold awareness seminars on the seriousness of the epidemic and the necessity of taking the initiative to receive the vaccine.

It is noteworthy that work is continuing to prepare Dummar Hospital, which will be designated to accept intensive care patients, with an oxygen generating station and emergency hospitals in the countryside of Damascus, Homs and Aleppo, with the possibility of placing Harasta Hospital in service for the benefit of pandemic patients when necessary.
