Health condition of Palestinian hunger striking prisoners in Israeli jails worsening, prisoners’ commission warns

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission again warned of the deterioration of the health condition of the Palestinian hunger striking prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails as they continue with their open-ended hunger strike in protest against their detention and the occupation’s brutal policy towards the Palestinians.

Hassan Abed Rabbo, the Commission’s Media Advisor, told WAFA News Agency that the hunger striking prisoners are Kayed Al-Fasfous, who has been on hunger strike for 101 days, Miqdad Sl-Qawasmeh, 94 days, Alaa Al-Araj, 77 days, Hisham Abu Hawash, 68 days, Shadi Abu Aker, 60 days, Ayad Al-Hreimi, 31 days and Raafat Abu Rabee, 7 days.

Abed Rabbo warned that prisoners Al-Fasfous and  Al-Qawasmeh are in a critical health condition and they may face sudden death at any time, as they are suffering from weakness and sharp lack of fluids in their bodies.

He pointed out that the occupation forces tried to feed Al-Qawasmeh by force in an attempt to break his hunger strike.

On Friday, 272 Palestinian prisoners suspended their 9-day hunger strike after forcing the occupation to respond to their demands.
